32D Wolfhounds reunions
2007 reunion, the Netherlands
From May 11 up to May 14 the Wolfhounds reunion 2007 was held in the Netherlands. Because of the closure of Soesterberg Air Base this was the last time to see the base in operational use. The reunion started with a Meet & Greet to catch up with each other and to reminisce the good old days. The Wolfhounds exhibition by Danny van Houttum was a great addition to it. The brunch on Saturday was another opportunity to catch up. The Royal Netherlands Air Force and Military Aviation Museum were perfect hosts during the event on Monday. The reunion was round off with a banquet that some day. With the closure of the base one of the important reasons to hold a reunion in the Netherlands is taken away. According to the rumors the next reunion will be in the United States. So up to the next reunion! So up to the next reunion! For images view the galleries section of the website.
2006 Security Police reunion, United States of America
The reunion was held from Sunday 7 May to Thursday 11 May 2006 in Las Vegas. This was the first reunion of the 32nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron Wolfhound's Security Police members. Twenty-one former Wolfhounds members attended. And when you didn't have fun it was your own fault. Everyone really enjoyed it including the spouses. They stayed at the Orleans Hotel and Casino located on Tropicanna Avenue about a mile and a half west of the Strip. For images, view galleries section of the website.
2004 reunion, the Netherlands
50 years after coming to the Netherlands and 10 years after leaving Camp New Amsterdam the former members of the "Queens finest" organized a reunion in Holland. From Thursday the 29th of April until Tuesday the 5th of May they were back "home". Almost 100 present and former 32nd Wolfhounds members joined the reunion. I think I can say that most has returned home with more fond memories, of what is to be considered one of the best assignments in the USAF. Thanks to several Royal Netherlands Air Force members the base tour was fantastic. They organized a great tour at the base. And as crowning touch a fly by of one of the Dutch F-16's. At the very last moment the Military Aviation Museum (as the museum was closed) gave us permission to visit the outer area to see the impressive fighter planes of the Wolfhounds. After the museum there was a short walk to the monument dedicated to the Americans by the local villages and province. At the end of the day there was a stop made at a local store for special alcohol bottles with the F-15 on the label. The food at the hotel was excellent and Angela was a great representative from the organizer. For images, view galleries section of the website.
